The thing about style and fashion is that as we grow, we change, as we change our style changes too. Same thing goes for fashion and trends, the only thing constant about trends is that they change, from season to season from year to year, just like us. A few months ago I had a wonderful opportunity to model on the You & Me show on the WCIU channel for an amazing company called Charlotte’s Closet.
To give you a little background info, Charlotte’s Closet is a company based out of New York that lends out designer dresses for teens and tweens. The dresses are GORGEOUS! They have tons of great designers, including Blush and French Connection to name a few. These are the kind of dresses you can wear to a party, homecoming, a sweet 16 party, graduation, prom, pageants or any other event that you are going to that you need to get dressed up for. What is so cool about Charlotte’s Closet is that you can borrow any of their dresses for a huge discount, which sure beats having to buy a new dress every time you go somewhere, especially when these dresses cost hundreds of dollars. Ask anyone who has gone to prom if they ever wore that dress again, and most likely the answer is no. So why spend hundreds of dollars on a dress you are only going to wear once in your life?
The other cool thing is that you can borrow a dress that might have been out of your price range because the cost of prom dress rental is so much less then actually buying one. You can get really gorgeous designer dresses without the really high price and spending less allows you to look great at every party you are going to. For the cost of purchasing one dress for prom, you can rent several dresses from Charlotte’s Closet!
The other plus is space in your closet. Your closet wont be full of dresses you will never wear again which leaves more space for the clothes you wear everyday. You don’t have to worry about the dress not fitting either, they will send you two sizes and when your party is over, you just put it back in the box with the return label and send it back. It’s super easy! And…..no dry cleaning! For a few dollars the dress is insured for damage because accidents do happen.

Charlotte’s Closet was kind enough to provide a stunning French Connection black dress for one of the optional competitions where you had to model something black. Thanks Charlotte’s Closet! Thought for the day, the most important person’s opinion of you that matters is your own. Sometimes we are the hardest and the most critical of ourselves. Be your own biggest supporter, embrace your mistakes, and learn from them, celebrate your achievements and repeat them. Don’t hold yourself up to some standard of perfection that doesn’t exist, NOBODY is perfect. Be yourself and you will always be perfect. KEEP SPARKLING!
