This weekend I also had the opportunity to compete in the World’s Perfect Pageant system for Illinois. I had my makeup artist come before check in to do my makeup since we had check in from 10-11. After check in, we had orientation and rehearsal. The pattern was super cool and different, we actually walked through the audience and stopped before we got on stage, and then we went on to the stage. I loved how this allowed me to connect with everyone in the audience and the judges. This pageant was more about who could command the stage and make connections with everyone.
The two categories we competed in were Black Fun Fashion, where really anything went as long as once piece was black, as well as the Evening Gown portion. We walked the same pattern for both but at the end of Black Fun Fashion all the girls in each age division walked onto stage and had a “Beauty Battle” in which you had to try to stand out and outshine all the other girls and capture the judge’s attention. It was super fun and we all had a blast. After this, we got changed into our evening gowns and did the pattern again. We then had a parade of girls once all the divisions were done.
The pageant went straight to crowning and awards after. There were three optional contests, Photogenic, Most Beautiful, and Supermodel. You submitted a picture for photogenic and most beautiful and they judged off of that. For the Supermodel award, they judged you during your performance on the stage. I won the title of Chicago’s Perfect Teen, Illinois Most Photogenic Teen, Illinois Most Beautiful Teen as well as my full expenses to World’s paid for. I will attach some of my pictures and I am super excited to use my titles to do charity work and promote my platforms. Remember, Keep Sparkling!
